Daybreak Game Company dated Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 25 August 2026. Cold Iron Studios built it. 20th Century Games sits on the collaboration line. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Digital Standard Edition $49.99. 40th Anniversary Premium Edition $69.99. Enad Global 7, Daybreak's parent in Stockholm, filed a 25 August note at 17:00 CEST: now available worldwide. Nintendo Switch 2 is dated 29 September. It is a sequel that actually opened on Tuesday, not a May IGN First leftover.

The official site's first sentence is a count. Up to four players in Colonial Marine boots. The 2021 game was three. Daybreak's 23 July launch-date note called that a fight for survival, not a rescue. Xenomorphs in the corridors. Synthetics. Other threats. Five classes plus a Specialist. Horde maps on day one. Cross-platform co-op with voice chat. Those are the publisher's verbs. Those are the publisher's counts.

Cold Iron's first Aliens game shipped 24 August 2021. Xbox Wire carried the studio's own available-now note that day. Five years and one day. AvP Galaxy, filing 25 August 2026, used that gap as the lede. GamesBeat, in its Opening Night Live preview, restated the 2021 cart as three-player co-op, a dozen missions across four campaigns. The 2026 cart adds the fourth marine and ships dedicated Horde maps on day one instead of as a later extra. The Xbox store listing for the sequel, product 9mtp6nrfjbgr, names Xbox Play Anywhere, Series X|S optimisation, and online co-op for two to four. TheXboxHub, 25 August, said you will not find this one in Game Pass at launch.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches on PS5, Xbox and PC
The StandardDownload

James Cameron's Aliens opened in 1986. Forty years is why the premium carton is named 40th Anniversary. Daybreak's 23 July note priced that carton at $69.99 on the same four stores as the $49.99 standard. The Premium Edition includes the base game plus Ripley's Hive Exterminator Pack and Herk Mondo's Pest Pack. Standard owners can buy the same DLC as a $19.99 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade, also dated 25 August. Rain's Jackson's Star Pack, drawn from Alien: Romulus, is $9.99 on every edition the same day. Those four prices are Daybreak's SRPs. TheXboxHub's UK shelf for the standard download was £44.99. A Game Pass day-one SKU is not on that table.

The five classes Cold Iron showcased ahead of launch are Marauder, Duelist, Machinist, Hunter and Medic. AvP Central's class roundup, built from those official tapes, is the public roster. The official site's shorter sentence is five unique classes with major upgrades, plus a Specialist endgame class for fully custom Marines. Specialist is not a sixth job you pick at the door. It mixes major and minor abilities from the other five once those classes have been levelled. IGN First spent May on that kit. TechTimes, 18 August, treated Specialist as the long-term class. This page is a shipping report. It will not print a build order.

Horde is on the disc. The official site calls it an updated horde game mode with new rewards. Nintendo Everything, reprinting Daybreak and Cold Iron's 25 August Switch 2 overview, said AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps, escalating waves, and rewards that get better the deeper a squad survives. Cold Iron, speaking to GamingBolt before launch, said campaign gear carries into Horde, and that a handful of Horde-only perks stay in Horde, one of them escalating damage or max health per wave. Unique Horde cosmetics were in the same answer. Those are the named systems. A wave count is not.

ComingSoon's 7 May write-up of the IGN First reveal tape named the planet LV-558 and a voice from Dr. Lily Pierce. GamesBeat's ONL preview put the opening as a colony that has gone dark, scientists on a Weyland-Yutani payroll, fireteam Banshee already inside under Ko, and a prologue that asks you to find her. Synths show up by mission two in that same preview. Those names are how a reader tells Tuesday's cart from the 2021 one. The 2021 game sent a three-person team to LV-89 off the USS Endeavor. This one is four people, a new colony, and a distress call. Daybreak's own line is still the one that matters: this is not a rescue mission.

Weapon customisation is a store-page paragraph, not a rumour. Fire modes, augments, and unique weapon traits. Nintendo Everything's 25 August overview, quoting the studio copy, added stun batons for the close work and pyro and electric ammo for the front that will not stop. GamesBeat's preview named stun batons and those same elemental types. Marauder's public showcase, as GameWatcher filed it, put a Blast Cannon, Titan Rockets, the M12A1 rocket launcher and the OCAP-91 Volcan flamethrower on that heavy. Hunter's public kit includes the BD-03 Djinn. Those names belong to Cold Iron's class tapes. A damage number does not.

IGN First opened the month of May. The reveal trailer sat on IGN's page dated 7 May 2026, summer 2026 as the window, full cross-play already in the copy. Daybreak's San Diego note on 23 July collapsed that window into 25 August and printed the two digital prices. Gamescom Opening Night Live, with Geoff Keighley hosting, treated Tuesday as a live unlock. GamesBeat filed from that hall. The official YouTube channel Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 posted the launch trailer the same week, id zjQaSsZJm54. That is the tape this page will carry. Gematsu, 25 August, embedded it under the Switch 2 date. Three primary documents. One Tuesday.

EG7's own 25 August filing is the corporate receipt. Developed by Daybreak and Cold Iron Studios in collaboration with 20th Century Games. Steam, Epic, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, now available. Switch 2 scheduled for 29 September 2026. Over the last three years, EG7 wrote, the group invested SEK 356.3 million in the title. The launch, the same note said, is a milestone as the group begins to realise on that investment, and the game is expected to be an important contributor to 2026. Sveavägen 17, Stockholm. Nasdaq ticker EG7. About 535 employees, 12 offices. Those are the group's own counts, not a forecast invented here.

Six days before Tuesday, the ticker moved again. MarketScreener's 19 August line recorded EG7 closing a $3 million acquisition of Cold Iron Studios' assets and contractual rights. Daybreak's 23 July biography still called Cold Iron a San Jose-based studio of veteran action and shooter developers. The same Daybreak page called Cold Iron fully remote. Both sentences sat on the launch-date note. EG7's Tuesday filing named Daybreak and Cold Iron together as developers. The $3 million close is a named date. The SEK 356.3 million is a named spend. Neither is a review.

Cross-play is the reason a four-person squad is a store sentence and not a LAN party. The official site: squad up with friends across platforms with newly added cross-platform voice chat. IGN's 7 May announce already had full cross-play. The Xbox listing adds Xbox cross-platform multiplayer and co-op. Online multiplayer on that console still wants the usual Xbox multiplayer subscription, sold separately, as the store itself prints. Steam and Epic are the PC doors. A Windows-store-only SKU is not what Daybreak dated in July. Four storefronts, one Tuesday, voice chat in the same build.

Switch 2 is the machine that waits. EG7 dated it 29 September 2026 in the Tuesday filing. Nintendo Everything and Gematsu ran the same date the afternoon the other platforms opened. Nintendo Everything noted the Switch 2 SKU had only been announced earlier in August, with a fall window before the day was named. The eShop is the door. A physical Switch 2 carton is not in EG7's Tuesday note. Australia's Tuesday was the same calendar day as San Diego's for PS5, Xbox and PC. The handheld copy is a month away. The corridor does not change.

Solo is still a supported night. GamesBeat's ONL preview played with three bots and found them willing to revive, with a limit, then a checkpoint. Cold Iron told GamingBolt that adding a fourth player forced a re-thinking of spaces and tuning, and that allied bots were a complaint from 2021 the studio tried to answer so a solo player could get further. Standard difficulty is how that preview described the first rooms. A score from that preview stays off this page. The bot count is three. The player count is four. Both shipped.

Steam's app id, as Gematsu linked it on 25 August, is 3448650. Epic's slug is aliens-fireteam-elite-2-0363fe. The Xbox product is 9mtp6nrfjbgr. Daybreak's SRP on all of those is $49.99 for standard and $69.99 for premium. EG7 did not print a krona shelf price in the 17:00 CEST note. The dollar SRPs are the ones Daybreak dated 23 July and confirmed as live on Tuesday. A Season Pass is not on that July note. A Game Pass tile is not on TheXboxHub's 25 August filing. Buy-to-play is the verb.

7 May was IGN First. 23 July was the date. 19 August was the Cold Iron asset close. 25 August was the unlock, ONL, EG7's "now available," and the Switch 2 day for September. 29 September is the handheld. 24 August 2021 is why "five years" is a number. 1986 is why the premium carton says 40th. Four marines. Five classes. One Specialist. Horde maps in the box. $49.99, $69.99, $19.99, $9.99. Cold Iron is in the credits. Daybreak is. 20th Century Games is.

Five days after Tuesday is Sunday. The squad is still on the floor. 25 August was the date. Daybreak is the publisher. Cold Iron is the room. The official tape is zjQaSsZJm54. The official site still says available now. EG7's headline on 25 August was the same verb. That is the verb. Not coming soon. Not wishlist. Fireteam Elite 2 launched. The fourth marine is in the corridor.
