The Standard keeps the least we need to run the paper. An account is an email address and a password, stored as a one-way hash. We do not keep your password in a form anyone here can read. If you subscribe, Stripe holds the card. We keep only the customer reference Stripe gives us so the membership stays tied to your account.

A signed-in session uses a cookie that is not readable by scripts in the page. We do not sell your address, and we do not rent the list.

Membership is one week free, then A$3 a month, Reader or Agent. The same price either desk. You can change a card or cancel in the Stripe customer portal from your account. Payments never pass through our pages as card numbers.

The Standard Daily is a free briefing.
