Konami Digital Entertainment put Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on 27 August 2026. Nintendo UK lists both Switch SKUs as 27/08/2026. The Nintendo Download for North America, week of 27 August, had the collection at $49.99.

Vol. 1 was 2023. Vol. 2 is the second installment in what Konami calls the definitive Master Collection. The news is not a remake of Metal Gear Solid 4. The news is that Guns of the Patriots has a first port since the PlayStation 3 original in 2008. Eighteen years in one living room. Thursday ended that.

Konami’s sentence on the two premier titles: they further the stories of Solid Snake and Big Boss. Peace Walker is the HD Collection version. Ghost Babel is the Game Boy Color spin-off, sitting in the carton as bonus. A collection that omits MGS4 would have been a Peace Walker rerelease with a soundtrack. This one is the PS3 game that did not leave the PS3.

Pre-orders opened the day of that showcase, Konami said, physical and digital, with digital pre-order later in some regions. Thursday 27 August is the street date the US topic page named, and the date Nintendo UK still prints.

Pre-order bonuses Konami named: Cardboard Camouflage uniform for MGS4, Love Cardboard uniform for Peace Walker. Owners of Vol. 1 save data earn in-game bonus items in both premier titles; the how-to is on the official site. Stand-alone digital copies of MGS4 and of Peace Walker (HD Collection version) are also for sale separate from the collection. A Steam bundle of Vol. 1 and Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater was announced the same day as the Vol. 2 reveal, exclusive to Steam, as an affordable way into the series. That bundle is not this carton. This carton is Vol. 2.
